Interactive online learning was put to the test during the COVID-19 pandemic, but one local teacher passed that test with flying colors.

Dayna Winczner, a sixth-grade science and math teacher at Trillium Academy in Taylor, was recently named to IXL's Elite 100 for the 2020-2021 school year, ranking among the top 100 out of 800,000 teachers who use the personalized learning program in their classrooms.

Students and staff at Trillium Academy in Taylor closed out the school year in an exciting way — by witnessing the breaking of a Guinness world record.

Steve Price, one of the judges on the Fox television show “Domino Masters,” brought a team of domino artists to the school to create a chain reaction machine that broke a world record for the longest domino wall ever created.
